Anyone for a cup of tea?

Leigh Barnett a member of www.theminiforum.co.uk is a Mini fan who lives in Germany. Whilst chatting to other UK based Mini fans on the forum he extended the invitation to pop over to Germany for a cup of tea. This simple gesture snowballed from there and the Brands Hatch to Nurburgring run has evolved. 

Besides lots of Mini fans having great fun driving from the UK to Germany the run has a very worthwhile purpose. The Mini owners taking part will be collecting sponsorship money to support the Macmillan cancer relief charity.

The first run was in 2005 and was a great success. The success was extended in 2006 with heaps of Mini's attending the second run. The 2007 run is your next chance to get involved.

Agenda

The Mini's taking part in the run will meet at the famous UK Brands Hatch race course. The 500 mile journey will then start. The Mini convoy will drive to Dover and hop on a ferry to France. The Mini's will continue through France, Belgium and Germany before arriving at the destination Nurburgring race track. Everyone then gets the opportunity to zoom around the 13 mile race track. The party will camp at Nurburgring for a couple of days before setting off on the return journey to the UK.  There is a limit of 50 Mini's for the ferry crossing with the likelihood of other Mini fans supporting the convoy on its way. The trip will take 6 fun packed Mini days in total.
